There & Back Again is a high energy dance rock band with influences that span the entire history of rock music.
Originally formed as a jam session at the end of 2002, it was a good way to blow off steam once a week while keeping their musical chops in shape. Soon after they started, the jam session grew into a polished rock band. The current line-up consists of John Woitko on vocals, rhythm guitar and saxophone, Mike Manganelli on bass & vocals, Jeff Bonomo on drums, Pat Manganelli ..boards & vocals and Joe Somerdak on lead guitar & vocals.
Each musician brings a different set of experiences and influences to the band, which culminates in the band’s live show containing something for everyone! Whether its classic rock, 80s hits, modern rock or anything in between, if you can dance to it, There & Back Again probably plays it.
In January 2006 the band released their first album of original material titled “Time Cures Everything.†A video for the title track was produced and the band appeared on local TV shows such as, Your Life, Community Awareness and WYLN-TV 35 News. The band was also featured in several Standard-Speaker newspaper articles including a front-page story. This article, written by Jeff Drumheller, highlighted John's story as a cancer survivor and what brought the album to life. They also received a very favorable album review by veteran journalist L.A. Tarone, including an honorable mention in his top albums of 2006 list, appeared in the monthly magazine Panorama and Alan Stout's column "Music On The Menu" in The Weekender Magazine. The title track received radio airplay on WKAB 103.5 FM.
In 2006 and 2007 "Time Cures Everything" has been featured prominently in the promotion of the American Cancer Society Telethon and during the telethon's broadcast as the opening & closing theme. For both years, There & Back Again has played a two-hour headlining show broadcast throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. "Time Cures Everything" has gone on to sell well over 1000 copies and has received critical praise from area musicians as well as radio and TV veterans.
