Sky King

Sky King, a 23 year old spoken word poet / entertainer/entrepaneur born in Albuquerque N.M and raised throughout the central part of Dallas Texas and New mexico. Sky has been a writer and a prolific poet since grade school, but he began dabbling in music at the age of 12. Being that he has moved every two years of his life , he is able to acclimate and adapt to most any environment he is placed in. This has also given him a unique flavor, and the blended dialects and twang he picked up along the way can often be heard in his music. In 2000 his father lost the mortgage to the house in Albuquerque in which they lived. At around the same time his Mother passed away, and he also suffered an appendisitus which almost claimed his own life. This series of unfortunate events spurred the decision to move to Los Angelas to start fresh. While doing a number of poetry slams and open mics around the L.A area, Sky was introduced to Leila Steinberg(Tupac's manager), who invited him to her non profit organization A.I.M. in which develops young artists,poets,singers,engineers and musicians,and teaches them to get out and positively influence the younger genarations through their gift. Since then Sky has collaberated with many artist's and musicians that have helped him polish his craft. Up and coming entertainer Angel with Danger Zone Ent schooled Sky to many aspects of the entertainment industry, and gave him many of the tools needed to achieve his dreams. An artist with such dedication is hard pressed to find, so either get on the wagon or be left behind! Sky's the limit!!
