About Me

I'm a pure bread computer geek who is branching out into the world of off-road Jeeping.
But the real loves of my life are my wife and two kids.
I like playing Frisbee Golf and I tend to do better than I do at real golf (average +4 per game rather than +4 per hole ;)
Lately I've been playing with several different aspects of design. From websites to vehicle graphics... it may be for work, but it is still pretty fun.
I use to play drums--everything from triangle to quads in marching band, cymbals to timpani in orchestra, and kit at home.
I guess I enjoy programming... I have been doing it for more than 2/3rds of my life and I'm making a career out of it. So far I don't hate my job, so I must still like it :)
The annual camping/boating trips to Lake Mead are some of my fondest memories from growing up--maybe not the part where I got severe sunburns on the tops of my feet . Where I'd like to go:

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Even though she has been in more than one person's share of bad movies, I would have to say that Sanda Bullock would be a top pick [and probably her husband, Jesse James , would be cool to meet too...]
Who wouldn't want to meet Richard Dean Anderson [AKA "MacGyver"]? I have liked most of the shows he has starred in.
Since the untimely demise of his morning radio show , I would love to have a conversation with Dicky Barrett .
Jamie and Adam seem like the type of people I could sit down and have a great conversation with and when it is over realize that there are folks in this world even geekier than me. ;)
And how could I leave off my childhood hero, Weird Al ?.
How cool would it be to have a meal with Buzz Aldrin or one of the other 23 Astronauts who have left Earth's orbit? And I hear he is an incredibly nice and down to earth guy--if you'll pardon the pun! ;)
These two people simply amaze me. You may know Norm Abram from This Old House , but where his talent really shines is in his New Yankee Workshop . David Marks may be less well known but his work is flawless. I may not always agree with the style of what he builds on Wood Works , but the execution is perfect and always made beautifully.

My Blog

Last Chance

I'm so glad this year is nearly over... It has been hectic and horrible at times and at the same time wonderful and blessed. That's not really what I wanted to blog about, but I just had to get that...

Redesigning Myspace

So I got the urge to finally do more than the 5 minute no name myspace generator to my page.  I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed by how completely aweful the HTML of this site is.  Whi...

So the bumper arrived the Friday before the Super Bowl, but unfortunately it has some damage to the finish.  The worst parts of the damage were the hinge and latch corners where it appers that UP...

Eureka! I have found it!

If there is one thing that I don't like about the looks of the stock Jeep, it is definately the tail lights.  And apparently I'm not the only one. Many of the Jeeps you see that have been modifie...
