I was sitting on the fire escape of my hostel the other day playing a guitar. I heard a voice of a Brazilian girl from above me saying that she had been listening to me play and was wondering if she could come sit by me. She walked down the stairs and sat down. Even though her sunglasses were way too big we got to chatting. She asked me how long i would be in Australia. I optimistically said i didnt know. She asked how long i would be in Bondi. I said i didnt know. She asked me how long i would be staying at the hostel. I said i didnt know. She said "you dont really know anything about your life, do you?" and i said, "No...but thats kinda how i like it, you know?" She smiled in agreement and i continued playing.
