Major’s music career officially began when at age 12 he and some neighborhood friends formed an R&B/soul band. Yes the young Major did indeed refused to sing or dance while on stage (says it interfered with his playing) but he could rock the guitar better than most of the kids his age, well at least when it came to playing Chic, Average White Band, or George Benson. By age 16 he moved on to DJing, playing high schools and later college parties around Baltimore and the Wash., D.C. area. The natural progression into music production soon followed… recording local artists out in his bedroom with a 4 track Yamaha cassette recorder, a Korg Poly 800 keyboard, a Radio Shack condenser microphone and an Alesis drum machine. Opportunity would later allow for recording in “real†24 track studios leading to interests from major and indie labels. Soon Major would find himself working along side the crew at Smack Productions cranking out the tracks for the house music lovers around the world. And the four on the floor go on....
