Kathy X - Drummer wanted!

Ready for anything!

About Me

Formed in Berlin, Germany in 2002 by Kathy X, former lead guitarist of London’s Death Valley Surfers. She hooked up with American drummer Dave Crome, who has worked with Bo Diddley, Del Shannon, Dick Clark and various others. She also met German slap bassist RobRaw, formerly of the Rawheads and Mad Sin. At the end of 2006 Dave returned to Philadelphia. From April 2007 until October 2007 Mr. Tom Block was Kathy X..s drummer.
Tom Petersen of PVC is currently helping out on drums while the search for a new regular drummer continues.
First ever gig was at Berlin’s Mad and Crazy. Their second gig was at the Columbiahalle, one of Berlin’s largest venues. They were soon signed by the Polish indie label Cosmic Records. They have since played support for the Meteors, Dick Dale, Long Tall Texans, Horrorpops and many more, as well as doing their own shows throughout Europe and the U.K. On their debut album Ready for Anything, they cover Joan Jett’s classic I Love Rock and Roll, which received praise from Allan Merrill, the song’s composer.

Kathy X at Wild At Heart Berlin germany

I have seen this interesting band several times at Wild At Heart in Berlin and lemme tell ya they rock. Kathy X kind of reminds me of a punk Lara Croft, and her rhytmn section is very solid and snappy...
