Surreal started from the obsessive dreams of three kids whom met in school and found a connection through music. Surreal, is an experimental, transgenre group of three pushing their talent to the limit. Face melting solos, funky bass lines, meticulous guitar work, exhausting drumbeats and powerful vocals make Surreal one of the best and most well-known bands in South Florida, recently landing a spot in Rag Magazine, the group is ready for the next level, having just finished their six-track demo with PowerStation Studios in collaboration with Bonjovi Records. winners of the 2007 south florida fair, and finalist in the 93.1 rock mobile mike presents battle of the bands.Influenced by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Sublime, Steel Pulse, and Avenged Sevenfold, Surreal's combination of emotional alternative, fast driven funk, and rebellious reggae will find itself stuck in your head days after you've heard the songs.Guitarist/singer Marcus Schrijn rips it up on the guitar while pumping out the vocals. Eduardo Heringer’s creative and funk driving bass style adds rhythm and fast-pace to songs while singing back up vocals, then the metal, hardcore-influenced, and aggressively hard-hitting drummer Alex "Chubbs" Guzman holds the backbone to the songs by shredding on the double-bass pedal with intense coordination. Surreal has come a long way from high-school drama, and fights about girlfriends, realizing that music is the overall most important thing in our lives.
