Jelani Vanholten Born in the Bronx 27 years ago, Jelani Vanholten, a.k.a.,Casino was always passionate about music and became highly intrigued by rap specifically.Casino has been influenced by many, but no other rapper had an affect on him like the late great The Notorious B.I.G. In 1994,Casino then known as Quiz along with child-hood friends Aswad , Mike and Rob decided to start The Specialists. The Specialists was a unique rap group in its own right and they have recorded two albums.Creative differences, amongst other things caused them to go their separate ways, but Casino’s drive and hunger is just as apparent now as it was when he first started. His vocal sound is very unique and his lyrics have meaning. He is constantly thinking of new ways to reinvent himself and his music, but never his image. Having been raised in Harlem, where he has acquired a sense of style and integrity, Casino has implemented those things into his music. He is determined to make it in this industry by any means necessary and is well on his way.
