being straight edge is a huge souce of pride for me. i don't believe in organized religion so for a structured belief system it's all i have. i wear my x's like a catholic would wear a cross. i'm a cautious consumer, i try to purchase things that don't contribute to someone else's suffering, or that don't go to a corporation that has too questionable ethics. granted not many do, but at least i try. i'm a pretty straight forward person and i try to live my life as simply and with as little hypocrisy as possible. everyone's guilty of it at some point in their life, and i'm no exception, but when i say i'm going to do something i do everything i can to make sure i do. i tend to be scatter-brained because i'm an overachiever, i try to take on way too many things at once, and if i don't i feel like i'm wasting my life. i tend to remember the most obscene and unimportant things. aside from being edge and animal rights, my family, friends, music, history, philosophy, politics, and the art of conversation are what matter most to me.
