Spend the day listening to the best in roots, reggae and dancehall music and see the legends of Reggae firsthand!
From Kingston Jamaica to the bass driven music lovers of Sydney. Jamaican music legend Horace Andy , whose unique voice is adored by reggae fans the world over, and carried hip-hop and soul into a new era through his collaborations with Massive Attack. Also headlining will be the brilliant Luciano , the most universally revered, iconic figure to emerge in reggae over the past decade. Not only is he a consummate songwriter, a wonderful singer but also a spellbinding live performer. Luciano will be joined by fellow Reggae stars Mikey General & Jack Scorpio .
Horace Andy now regarded as Jamaica's most distinguished and loved vocalists; Horace is blessed with one of the finest voices in Reggae Music. His classic recordings from the '70s with producers such as King Tubby, Prince Jammy and Bullwackie remain crucial listening, while his more recent work with trip-hop heroes Massive Attack has introduced the singer to an entire new generation of devoted fans.
Luciano as the Messenger is an emissary whose work contains important teachings for humanity and who peacefully strives for the betterment of society. As such, his songs have the power to touch the soul, to communicate spiritual truths and uplift our hearts to an unprecedented degree. Jamaican reggae music hasn't produced such a well-loved figurehead since the days of Bob Marley and Dennis Brown.
Mikey General. One of Reggae's most exciting talents. His high tenor voice, like a warm breeze over sands, carries a message of faith and optimism to the world. His unyielding devotion and his genuine sincerity sets this Jamaican singer apart from the rest.Mikey General, long known for his association with Luciano, has spent two decades honing his craft navigating the upper echelon of producers and studios in the industry, both in the United Kingdom and Jamaica.
Jack Scorpio. The host of the "Original sound", Black Scorpio Sound System- renown to date for the many clashes and sessions it promoted back in the 70's,80's and 90's along with other veteran sounds such as King Jammys, Stone Love and Metro Media.
Supported by Dj’s Big Up, Judgement & Joe. Also featuring Sydney band Survival Reggae showcasing the music of the all time kings of Reggae, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Third World and Steel Pulse.

A little about us... Beat Element events is a multi facet company based in Sydney Australia. Our main objective is to bring reggae music to the fore-front.
Established in 2005, Beat Element has brought you some of the best reggae music has to offer.
In 2005 we staged Lucky Dube's Lion of Africa concert selling out multiple shows in Sydney alone. New Zealand was no different. Sadly, in October of 2007 Lucky was slain in an attempted hijacking in Rosettenville, Johannesburg. A senseless and random act. The death of Lucky Dube leaves a great void in the music industry, as 25 years of music suddenly ends in tragedy. Our respect and best wishes go out to his family.
In 2006, we toured with UB40 for the Who You Fighting For Tour to the Kingdom of Tonga located in the heart of the South Pacific. The show was a sellout. Filling the countries largest stadium of 20,000, Teufaiva in Nukualofa. Attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Latufuipeka along with other members of the royal family, the crowd applauded and cheered the band throughout their two hour performance. From a recent interview with Spasifik Magazine in February 2008, UB40's Robyn Campbell said of what he remembered of his tour to Tonga:
"How incredible the receptions were; the official welcomes everywhere we went. The gigs were fantastic, everyone knew we were there. As soon as we arrived, the streets were lined with people waving. It was such a big deal to them that a band as well known as us would travel that far you know. They just loved it and it’s something we want to do again."
Maxi Priest "2 The Max Tour" saw the King of Lovers Rock perform his classic hits. With shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Tonga & Fiji. Maxi and his band didn't disappoint.
New to the scene in 2008, Jamaican bred artist Sean Kingston, who has accomplished the rare task of creating a new genre where rap, reggae, pop, doo-wop along with his remarkable songwriting skills, all combined into something totally refreshing. Performed his chart topping hits for lucky fans in Sydney and Wellington. "Beautiful Girls", "Me Love", "Take You There" and "There's Nothin'" just to name a few. He's a great entertainer that has a gift for melody.
Reggae Superstars was a massive success. Over 4 hours of roots rock reggae. Headliners Luciano & Horace Andy were crowd favourites. Supported by Mikey General, Jack Scorpio & Jahmessenjah Band who kept the crowd dancing until 2:00am! This was one show nobody wanted to end.
We have big plans and an amazing line up of artist to come your way. So keep posted.
