Dumfinger

Dumfinger is a skank band in Los Angeles, whose live shows have conjured up a lost blend of reggae, rock, punk and ska fused with soulful melodies and heavy lyrics. Their live shows draw an eclectic mix of fans throughout the southland joining together for energetic performances of raw energy and emotion.The band was formed back in 1997 in Cleveland with Curtis, Rod & Danny picked up and moved to LA in January of 2000. The power-trio has rocked every venue in LA including: The Whisky A Go-Go, Hard Rock Cafe, The Gig, Opium Den, Martini Lounge, The Roxy, Key Club, Coconut Teaszer, Dragonfly, The Joint, Good Hurt, Zen, Soho, Paladino's, Club Lingerie, Club Lush The 2001 Democratic National Convention, as well as tours throughout the US & Mexico and has opened for National Acts including Beautiful Creatures and Nashville Pussy.The band recently filmed a pilot for MTV with Producer Jonathan Cane from MTV News. The new series called “A Day in the Life”, follows around an up and coming underground band for one day. This will be airing early next year. The name Dumfinger comes from a cold December morning in 1997, when Danny cut his index and middle finger off on his left hand. The doctors put them back on, but they have no feeling & don't work all the time. He used to yell at his fingers when they didn't work, "stupid, dumb finger" and it kind of stuck. The Dumfinger tag is actually a drawing of his hand.
