I'm a huge Rolling Stones fan, a single mother of two, David and Jennie, and grandmother (still can't believe that!) of one beautiful little boy, David and my gorgeous little princess, Halie Marie, and last, but definitely not least, am active in rescuing animals from bad situations and from kill shelters. In my home, I have two rescued dogs and one rescued cat. I would take all of the unwanted animals, if I could.Back to the Stones - I've seen them 48 times and would love to see them 48 MORE times before it's all over!! I am looking only to meet other true Rolling Stones fans on MySpace and folks who love & respect animals. I'm always up for a conversation about The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World or ideas regarding the unwanted and abused pet population!! Did I mention that I'm a Vegan, too?PLEASE consider bringing an unwanted, abandoned and or neglected dog or cat into your home. There are so many out there in kill shelters just waiting to die. Check out your local SPCA. If you're looking for purebreds, they are there, too. There are some rescuers and animal educators in my friends section and tons more are also on MySpace and the rest of the web. Always do research and educate yourself before bringing a new animal into your home so that you know what you're getting yourself into. Dogs and cats are not disposable!!If you're in the mid-Atlantic area, check out http://www.faithfulfriends.us. They are a no kill shelter and every animal that is fostered or adopted from them leaves a space for another animal to be cared for by these wonderful people. If you can't foster or adopt, make a donation! They even maintain a food bank for folks that are having a tough time feeding their animals in this current economy.
Dogs really ARE man's best friend and cats are cool as cool can be!! All they want is our love and they love us back unconditionally! So to sum it up, I love my family, The Rolling Stones and the animals!!I just took Boo (The Labrador) to the vet and he has a cancerous tumor undneath of his left arm. He's 7 years old and one of the most magnificent animals you would ever want to meet. I have to raise $1.255 just for his surgery. If they don't get it all, or if has spread, he will have to undergo chemo. He doesn't deserve it. I'm asking my dog loving and Rollng Stones loving friends to donate whatever your heart and/or pocketbook will allow. Just $1 would be greatly appreciated. I've never had to beg for a thing in my life, but he's worth begging for. Please help me to help him.Sherry..
