I am writing this on behalf of The International's, a six member ethnic, polka ensemble based in Harrisburg Pennsylvania which devotes its energies and talents to preserving the sounds and spirits of, polka and kolo music and the indigenous folk music from Eastern Europe and the Southern Slavic Regions.
I am Bill Ribec, musician and leader of The International's. I have been professionally performing as an accordionist in various venues in the past 33 years that includes 10 years of performing kelzmer music. In the pursuit of achieving musical excellence and preserving an "ethnic folk music" influence in America, I, in collaboration with Anatoly Krashunsky (Clarinetist), Randy Dorman (Purcussionist), Dina Krashunsky (Vocalist), Rob Warren (Bassist) and Dan McNeil (Guitarist) have formed an extremely talented and versatile orchestra that is available for concerts, parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs, both large and small. All music to fit the occasions and the musicanship involved with the execution of the performance. We come equipped with our own sound system, so there is never a hidden "rental charge" to be included in the price of our performance. Part of our philosophy is to provide a value-oriented fee schedule for our customers, however, we are not newcomers...we collectively posses over 210 years of performing experience in a group.
