Born in Rio de Janeiro, Beto Vieira aroused interest for the Brazilian Acoustic Guitar at the end of 90s, when he went to Villa Lobos’ Music School to study Acoustic Guitar and Musical Arrangement. Due to identification with the instrumental music, since then, he already took part in Villa Lobos’ Acoustic Guitar Orchestra, Cacoré Quartet, Tucupi Quartet and Gafieira De Minuta Group. In recent years he has specially devoted to the research of Choro, Samba and Baião, as a grounding in the modern Brazilian urban music. After to produce a CD entitled Brasileirices, from singer Selma Mendes in 2007, Beto Vieira has been developing a career of composer, arranger and guitarist which combines the popular and the modern to historical past, in a dynamics which there is no limits of time and stile your between musical work and the Brazilian cultural identity.
