Cree Summer Francks, better known as Cree Summer, is most know in acting as her role of 'Freddie Brooks' on "A Different World". Currently, Cree mainly does voice acting.
Biography
Cree was born on July 7, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. Her family moved to Saskatchewan, Canada when Cree was very young. Her parents are Lili Red Eagle of the Plains Cree First Nation and Canadian actor Don Francks. She has a younger brother, Rainbow Sun Francks.
In 1993, Cree and her band 'Subject To Change' produced an album titled "Womb Amnesia". Then in 1999, Cree came out with a solo album which was produced and arranged by friend Lenny Kravitz. The name of the record is 'Street Faerie'. She still continues to make music for commercials and in the tv shows she voices.
