Like all Great stories, it started with an evening coffee talk between three kids stranded down under, from talking about music, movie to their appraisal of favorite designers and then something hit them , and it hit them hard. The fact, that their own local creative people whose work they admired not always get the chance to be recognized by other people, was kinda hard to accept. They decided then and there that someday either one of them would try to help raising this idea. That was four years ago, today they are working hard to make that idea into realization by making "frames" for the local creative people's works they like.
We dont like to judge but we have taste. The same as food, drinks, opposite sexes, it all depends on your type and taste ain't it?
Frames is an interactive magazine available in two platforms, one is the website and other one is in a CD format to be distributed freely for the time being. The magazine itself is a free exhibition showcasing the past, the now and the future up and coming artists ( baca seniman ). The definition of art we're talking about is the various branches of creative skills which include fine art, digital art, graphic design, music, motion, film, fashion design, sculpture, photography, architecture, interior design, poems, literature and much more.
The CD itself is divided into three sections: magazine, audio and video. The magazine is for showcasing the visual art form from the talented people we able to find and put in here. The audio section showcasing the music from the musician or band who are kind enough to let us use their music. And last but not least the video section is for displaying the motion features from the talented animation artists, to the avant garde film directors.
Since it would be hard to grab the essence of the magazine with only words and to cut out some works for us ( yes people, we are lazy and shitty writers, so if you think you are a better writer than any of us, please send us your work )just go to Our Website! to check us out, we hope you'll enjoy Frames as much as we enjoyed making it.
Cheers!
