Biography:ACME Team began in 2001 as a duo (Mastropos and Econe) of Punk rock hardcore DJ's playing music in venues in Athens. Shortly thereafter (after the first Acme party on the 14th of September 2001), since Mastropos left Athens to study in London and because ACME seemed to be something new and very prosperous as well as the fact that Econe couldn't handle anything on his own, Alexis Sam was added to the team. Parties followed with Mastropos joining the team every Xmas, Easter and Summer with every venue being packed when their punk rock parties were on.Alexis got a show on Rock FM radio. Econe then destroyd his knee and Alexi needed help and his friend Anapiros joined the team sometime in 2003. ACME grew to something bigger with now gigs being organized with the local punk/hardcore scene and the team DJ'ing along.Following these and a lot of foreign bands playing in Athens as well as the scene having grown a lot, ACME team kinda broke up, with Alexi and Anapiro organising gigs bringing bands from abroad (Raised Fist, Shai Hulub, etc), writing for GoodTimes magazine with Econe. Alexis and Anapiros also started a label, Playfalse Records and released a couple of records (for Vodka juniors, For what is worth, Mute the silence and Unbreakable Circle) before closing the firm down after a couple of years. The label is now active again, being run by Alexis and his brother. Anapiros now works on BeExposed DVD Magazine.Econe with Alexi were singing in the band Unbreakable circle, Alexi was singing for a bit for Swartz and Anger with members of 925, Econe is singing at a band Bad-A-Head and on a side project with members of For what is worth, Vodka Juniors and No Balance called A Cry For An Answer. Mastropos was playing with a band in north London playing punk in an anarchist squat in a 70's studio in Manor House, but this lasted only 8 months. The squat was closed down and one of the band members had to flee to Italy or Spain?! Currently Mastropos is recording his music, playing fast punk, with members of 3 other bands. Mastropos also took part in an almost famous side project singing in a Hip-Hop/Funk-comedy band called Mastropos and Ardan. They had a couple of offers for live shows in famous London venues (Cargo) before breaking "the band" up.
ACME always worked for the scene and the bands.
Acme is still active playing music for events, concerts and in clubs, but not as often as once. So keep an eye cause there is always something up...
