About Me

About lost moments orchestra, hiss & crackle, and the recording process.
DW , sound engineer for a living (working out at the paradox. Tilburg)
started out 3.5 years ago thinking about a kind of project where engineering, composing, producing, playing & recording acoustic instruments, analogue electronics and samplers get to come more close to each other,
closer then they usually do.As a matter of fact they became one.
Turning the cliché classic order around, some melodies were changed by re-pitching them after they've been recorded, some tracks were arranged after they were mixed, some drums were added at the end of the story while distorting, abusing and manipulating equipment stand out in the middle of the production process.
By contacting all sorts of musicians who, in any kind of way, sounded interesting to him,
he started composing and recording tracks with the improvisational influences of the people that he invited to join the lost moments orchestra.
How does a bar tender a social worker some conservatory students a designer a teacher an enforcement officer a shrink a call center girl and a clown sound together ?
All basic tracks were recorded with a wide variety of analogue equipment
operated, programmed and played by himself.
Most musicians who played together on some of the tracks didn't meet until the album was finished.
During the project some kind of chemistry created the songs the way you will find them on the album.
The lyrics represent the world, society, you, me
and the the pain that our existence sometimes forces us to feel or even to be.
(These lyrics simply are not just about your new boy friend or your mothers homemade soup)
The ideal is to make you think about your life ,yourself ,the world you live in
and the problems which encounter our lives.
Issues revealed in the lyrics are often issues that kept mankind busy in the far past
and will probably keep us busy in the future.
The concept of the album can also be interpreted as a story about someones life who's encountering
all sorts of problems on his path from birth towards the end ,thinking all sorts of thoughts
about the information coming in through his senses.

About Hiss&Crackle
This album might or might not tell the story of someone's or no one else's life.
It may be fiction or reality can or cannot be both rational or irrational,
metaphors can be direct and symbolic, both, or not at all.
Contradictions can be equal or paradoxical and maybe both at or not at the same time,
philosophy or fiction, both, and or reality.
It can be universally used as a guideline in all sorts of stories
as well as specificly suitable for fewer stories or even all stories from past to present.
It can take place in the past, present or future all at the same or at totally different times.
You'll most likely hate it, love it, find it boring or enjoy it, as a whole or separate,
varying from time to time and, or, moment, from the beginning until the end
or something in between.
But, nevertheless i sincerely hope you'll get all sorts of feelings, thoughts, doubts and or emotions
which you like and or hate, make you feel comfortable and let you think about the lyrics, society and maybe even about the deeper sense, energies and abstracts of the inner and outer cosmos which we are all part of.
