History In The Making, Stay Tuned....
Been creating music and advancing through music genres of Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Pop, Rock, GRIME, and Progressive for the past 15 years. Started MCing at the age of 12yrs. old, with just a cassette player and a old belt drive record player, Brotha Brown started creating stop-n-pause beat tapes with his Grandparents old LP's and 45's. To some it was just a waste of time and a lot of people clowned on the brown brotha for his creativity and off rhythm tapes with old loops and old beats created through MTV Music Generator from his Sony Playstation and Hip Hop ejay music. That was just the start.
Later on in 1999 Brotha Brown moved to Louisiana with family, a city boy from Los Angeles and living in the boondocks of the country, it was hard to adapt to the living conditions, no record shops nearby, a lot of his peers from school were listening to B-Legit, Master P, Cash Money Millionares, Young Bleed, Swishahouse and a lot of N.O. and Texas underground artist. He adapted to the different styles of music and linked up with his pen & pad and began writing and reciting and also hitting up a lot of peers with his style. Many folks were mezmerized by his snazzy wordplay and combination of harmony, beatbox and singing skills, folks told him he needed to be somewhere else because the folks down here weren't going to be ready for that KIND OF STYLE!!! Dealing with too much racial tension and tired of the fighting everyday and depression he set back to the 323rd and stayed with his Grandparents back on the Southside of Ridgeley Drive in the year 2000.
Attending Dorsey High Shcool for Summer School he started meeting more peers that were into the kind of music he was in Jay Dee aka J Dilla(R.I.P.), Dr. Dre, Common, Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def, Slum Village, Phat Kat, KRS1 Talib Kweli, Hi Tek and so forth. He was straight and after completing Summer School he wanted to attend there but too much Gang banging was popping off and also the school didn't have enough programs in music, so his aunt and peoples got him into Hamilton High School Music Academy.
It was there that the vibe was beautiful, music, and peoples. This is where he met alot of students that are now on there way to becoming celebrities are have been already at the time. Brotha Brown links up with Charm and his boy SP aka Soul Prophet and many others. Spitting in Ciphas and battling other students on the yard, later the steezz changed from freestyling to writting into enhancing music and droping tracks.
Taking at least 5 years to create his own vibe and sound. It all flew from there. Creating a buzz around the net he's met and collab with a lot of artist worldwide such as ANAI from Manchester U.K.; Diaz Millenia of The BeatKnock'az from Chicago, IL; KILLA TWAN & Brick Boys Fam from Watts, CA and many others.
2007 is the begining of LAVI$H INC., with the album,THE RAPTURE slated for a release in 2008 and many other projects on the way, the only thing we can do is wait and see what BB has in store for the industry and in the streets...
