Educate your elected officals about the Link between animal abuse and violence against children and the need for protective Laws. 2. Report animal abuse or neglect to your local animal welfare or law enforcement agency. 3. Spay or neuter your pet, and encourage others to do so, to reduce overpopulation - the main reason millions of dogs & cats are euthanized. 4. Volunteer at your local humane society or animal shelter. abdandoned and abused animals need your hands on care and kindness 5. Adopt an older cat or dog from your local humane society or shelter.
