Inkognito, an alternative/hard rock band from the bootheel
of Missouri, formed in 1998, and achieved regional popularity by
excessive touring, radio play, internet, word of mouth, and built a
strong underground following in Missouri and surrounding states. In
July of 2006, Inkognito stopped writing music (citing artistic
differences), and currently, there are no plans to re-unite the band.Since 1998, Inkognito produced several high quality demo
recordings, and as a result, in 2000 the band signed a contract with
one of the nation's leading talent agencies. Shortly after, the band
was offered two record contracts from labels in Hollywood, CA and New York, NY. Both contracts were declined for various reasons. Dreamworks Records also expressed interest in the band at one time. With internet radio and a huge fan base, Inkognito's music has been in the hands of people across the world. Whether it be worldwide distributed cd's or fans spreading the word, their music has travelled the globe in one way or another. The band was even once asked to perform a USO tour for American military bases in Japan. After the release of their 2004 ep 'Dilate', Inkognito promoted the disc by shows, radio interviews, and online cd sales, and quickly became one of the leading bands in the local scene. Two years, a couple of bass players, and many shows later, the band began working on their next album 'Transition', which is ironic, because the album was never finished. As a result, the group realized they were all in a transitional phase musically, and that together, they no longer shared the same vision- and decided to end a long run of recording and performing music. To this day, Inkognito is still being requested on the radio, and cd's are still selling. The band wishes to thank all the fans throughout the year that made everything possible, and that with all of the memories, INKOGNITO WILL NEVER DIE...I Feel Cold
