Morgan Kibby, 23, a native Alaskan, was classically trained on the piano from an early age before picking up the cello in her teens. Best known as a singer, her voice can be heard on trailers for films such as Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and M. Night Shyamalan’s Lady In The Water. As a composer and performer, Morgan writes and sings in the LA avant-pop group The Romanovs . They have toured with acts such as Rasputina and Veruca Salt and were recently named “Best USA Band†at the Toronto Independent Music Awards. Morgan is currently scoring 101 - Yet Again, a film by Eva Husson. In addition to her musical pursuits, Morgan works in the field of art restoration, and has helped preserve antiquities ranging from the lions in front of the New York City Public Library to re-gilded statues at Hearst Castle.
Jonathan Leahy grew up in Laconia, NH before attending the College of William & Mary, where he made a name for himself as a visual artist. His work work can be seen in places as diverse as the Experience Music Project Museum in Seattle and the Partagas cigar factory in Havana, Cuba. A writer/director in his own right, in 2000 Leahy participated in the Kodak Student Filmmakers program at Cannes where he premiered his first short film. After moving to Los Angeles, Leahy turned his attention to music, and currently fronts the indie-rock band The Broken Remotes , which released their second LP, Tonight's Last Stand in 2007. Jonathan's music has been heard in TV shows such as Gossip and Brotherhood.
A Necessary Death marks his debut as film composer.
