Consectum began around 2003, under a band name not worth mentioning, and was far more dance-like; something like Funker Vogt and Vnv Nation. Soon thereafter, the band became more influenced by artists like Aslan Faction, Hocico, and Suicide Commando.
The band has played shows around California and in Oregon opening for artists like Psyclon Nine and GodModule and has worked with other 'terror ebm' acts such as DotExecute [RIP] and ServoHatred.
