About Me

*I CONTRIBUTED THE BASS PARTS TO ALL TRACKS LISTED IN MY PLAYER*Originally from Memphis, I started playing around with one of my fathers basses when I was (?) years old (really young) and never stopped. I grew up in a musical family and spent many of my young days tagging along with my dad to a studio or gig. The sounds of great jazz artists and Big Bands influenced me at a young age and I developed an early appreciation for good musicianship. I have played live and on recordings ranging from the Blues/Americana/Country styles featuring Tony Joe White, Shelby Lynne, Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, The Blues Boys and many others, to the Funk/R&B/Jazz and Fusion styles featuring The Wooten Brothers, The Jody Nardone Trio, The Richard Griffin Quartet, Rock Williams, The Cliffnotes and many notable others. Like most Nashville musicians, the list of “demo” and “custom” sessions, along with live showcases, is endless. Okay, not endless, I've just done a bunch of 'em and can't really list them all now can I? Wedding bands/society gigs? I've done a million of 'em. Why else would I own three tuxedos? I have traveled internationally playing clubs, festivals and special events; played for Beth Moore’s “Living Proof Ministries” events with Travis Cottrell, worship seminars with Carl and Leann Albrecht, and other praise and worship conferences nationally, including breakout sessions, individual and group clinics specific to the role of the bass player. I have played at Bethel World Outreach Center and currently play for the eleVen:01 service at Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville, where my family and I reside.
I play acoustic and electric upright basses and 4, 5 & 6 string fretted and fretless electric basses and provide lead and background vocals...

Band Members: Memicelfandeye, eight fingers, two thumbs, palms, knuckles, etc. Yours truly on bass for this track: "Summertime" by Julie Hevey. Check her out. Promising future!

Sounds Like: There's a little dude in a small town outside of a little town in some place, I can't exactly recall where it is, anyway this guy works in a music store there. I sound just exactly like him. Dead ringer. I was shocked. So was he.

You want "chops" with that?

This is mainly a posting for the younger musicians that always ask about certain "cool" licks or the latest flashy technique, the smoke and mirrors that are actually used on 1% of gigs, unless you pla...
