About Me

Videos 2009 with Hard Bloooze:Videos 2008 Live with JumpSeat: "Rebel Yell" and "The Wall".. .. .. .. .. .. Bio: I started playing accordion at the age of 5 years. Later I took electronic organ lessons when YAMAHA moved to Rellingen, a small city close to Hamburg. I had lessons by the musical director from the cruise liner "Hanseatic", who had played on the Hammond with the famous "Zarah Leander" singing. Then I got my first electronic organ, an Electone B-5. Working at the keyboard shop at Steinway and Sons in Hamburg, I saw the analog synthesizers and got impressed. My first synthesizer was an ARP AXXE. Later I got a Fender Rhodes Stage 73 Piano, a Micromoog and a Yamaha SK10 String Ensemble. I joined a few local bands, was writing songs and was working for Yamaha doing Portable Keyboard and Clavinova demonstrations. The Electronic Music Wave got me and we founded a pure Synthesizer Band. I got a Korg Poly 61, later a Yamaha DX7 and TX7. Then I changed the equipment and used a KX5 keyboard with Yamaha TX802 module and Roland U220 module. I started working as a keyboard teacher in the Yamaha Music School. Beside I did some studio work and recorded disco music. Our Synthesizer Band was growing and growing, we got guitar, bass, drums, saxophone,... This Band, "Get Unique" http://www.myspace.com/getuniquehamburg did a lot of gigs in Hamburgs Music Clubs. I changed the equipment and bought a Yamaha SY99 Workstation and a QY70. One of the distributed SY99 Public Domain Sound Disk is from my "Sound-Factory". After I finished University, the Music became hobby and I joined the Cover-Band "Powerplant", later called "JumpSeat", with colleagues at my work. I lived some years in Sao Paulo / Rio de Janeiro and played with a Band there in Brasil no Samba but Cover Rock like Whitesnake, Van Halen, Eric Clapton and Santana. My setup is still the Dinosaur SY99, a Hammond XB-1 and the KX 5 with QY70 and not to forget: the Micromoog. With JumpSeat we are playing on private parties and we are doing official shows, one for example we did as support for Ray Wilson (Genesis) at the Bad Oldesloe "Stadtfest". 2009 started quiet, but a lot of things is going on right now. My friend and Bassplayer Herbert asked me to join his new band Hard Bloooze and I am playing now with the guys "no thrills, no gimmicks, just loud". I met my "old" friends from Get Unique in Stefans Studio, maybe we will do some unplugged things. And finally my setup is growing, I added a Yamaha MO6, that synth has great sounds...
