Formation of hard rock blues influenced by groups such as Steppenwolf, Creedence Clearwater Revival, or still The Doors … Ezy Riders produces a torn away rock, in the hurtful riffs, oiled in Jack Daniel's, without concession nor bend. Evolving for some time in the region, Ezy Riders skimmed most of the taverns. They knew how to cut their name in Tournai and its neighborhood by to energetic concerts and charmingly wet in the bars of the city, but also in many festivals (Bouzouki festival, Black Bear festival, Odion, Skabadrock, Horiz'on the Rock, Dhiver Rock Festival, etc.), in the name-days of the music of Tournai, and by making among others the first parts of groups such as The Outsliders, Shine, Marc Librecht, Voodoo Wild, Rock Juice, or still Moleskin. The band was invited to play in Brussels, but also in the North of France (Lille, Caudry) Even if Ezy Riders has already played on big stages, they appreciate (even prefer) the small rooms filled with smoke and full of perspiration where there is really a contact with people, and where the fantasies ethilic can seal their thirst at the foot of a lowered pants or of a toilet' door badly closed! In every case, concerts are very often warm, delirious, and sometimes unpredictably shambolic for the biggest enjoyment of the destroyed rock 'n' roll' fans!!!
Band historySt-Luc (art school), in October, 2001, Aurel, student in plastic arts and JB, in section printing office meet in the Bar Archi where they speak regularly about music, and intend to form a small group of rock. A name is fast chosen: "Ezy Riders", in reference to a song of Jimi Hendrix and to a film of Dennis Hopper Easy Rider. Manu and Aurel are in guitars play, and JB to the drum kit. After some months, Manu is replaced by Rach ',Who will bring a funky touch, and a bass player enters the band: Jaz. The group fast realizes that the second guitar would add of the power to the compositions, and Emrock returns its guitar, its ampli and its play of roots guitar. Ezy Riders is going to point out thanks to very energetic concerts and is going to turn so during some years, in bars (very often crammed), the festivals of the region of Tournai, and will play Even with some rather impressive sizes of the rock such as The Outsliders (who played with Popa Chubby, ZZ Top...), Marc Librecht (who made the John Mayall's first parts, Johnny Winter...), or still Voodoo Wild (who played in Joe Bonamassa's first part!).The band stopped in 2008. Ezy Riders produit un rock arraché, aux riffs cinglants, huilé au Jack Daniel’s, sans concession ni détour. Evoluant depuis un certain temps dans la région, Ezy Riders a écumé la plupart des gargottes. Ils ont su tailler leur nom dans Tournai et ses environs grâce à des concerts énergiques et délicieusement suintants dans les bars de la ville, mais également dans divers festivals (Bouzouki festival, Black Bear festival, Odion, Skabadrock, Horiz’on the Rock, Dhiver Rock Festival, etc…), aux fêtes de la musique de Tournai, et en faisant entre autres les premières parties de groupes tels que The Outsliders, Shine, Marc Librecht, Voodoo Wild, Rock Juice, ou encore Moleskin. Le groupe a été invité à se produire à Bruxelles, mais aussi dans le Nord de la France (Lille, Caudry…)
Même si Ezy Riders a déjà joué sur des scènes plus ou moins grandes, ils apprécient (voire même préfèrent) les petites salles enfumées et pleines de transpiration où il y a véritablement un contact avec le public, et où les phantasmes éthiliques peuvent étancher leur soif au bas d'un pantalon baissé ou d'une porte de chiotte mal fermée! Dans tous les cas, les concerts sont bien souvent chaleureux, délirants, et parfois imprévisiblement bordéliques pour la plus grande joie des amateurs de rock’n’roll déglingué.
St-Luc, Octobre 2001, Aurel, étudiant en arts plastiques et JB, en section imprimerie se rencontrent au Bar Archi où ils parlent régulièrement musique, et projettent de former un petit groupe de rock. Un nom est vite choisi : « Ezy Riders », en référence à une chanson de Jimi Hendrix et au film de Dennis Hopper Easy Rider. Manu et Aurel sont aux guitares, et JB à la batterie. Après quelques mois, Manu est remplacé par Rach’, qui apportera une touche funky, et un bassiste entre dans le groupe : Jaz. Le groupe se rend vite compte qu’une deuxième guitare ajouterait de la puissance aux compositions, et Emrock ramène sa gratte, son ampli et son jeu de guitare roots. Ezy Riders va se faire remarquer grâce à des concerts très énergiques et va tourner ainsi pendant quelques années, dans les bars (bien souvent plein à craquer), les festivals de la région de Tournai, et jouera même avec quelques pointures du rock assez impressionnantes telles que The Outsliders (qui ont joué avec Popa Chubby, ZZ Top,..), Marc Librecht (qui a fait les premières parties de John Mayall, Johnny Winter,..), ou encore Voodoo Wild (qui a joué en première partie de Joe Bonamassa !).Le groupe s'arrête en 2008.
