Talent 2009 is a pioneering training and showcasing project aimed at developing young people and students through the arts, training and skills development whilst promoting their creativity.
The program will see students and young people from across the UK undertake a series of workshops and master classes in the areas of music, dance and fashion. This culminates in a major showcase where participants will compete for the title of “Talent of 2009â€.
Talent 2009 is a development of the already popular ‘Talent’ brand. For the past four years ‘Talent’ has provided showcasing opportunities for students across the UK with many acts going on to sign recording contracts, release music and shooting music videos, (Q For You - myspace.com/Q4you), (Chima Anya - gtaunderstand.com). With Talent 2009, participants will not only get the opportunity to showcase their talents but they will also have the opportunity to work with industry experts who will aid them in honing and developing their skills and industry knowledge.
Additionally, a team of young people will receive training sessions in the areas of marketing, pr and event management. This will be followed by an intensive work experience programme during which they will aid in the production and promotion of the Talent 2009 finale event. This will enhance their CV’s in addition to providing them with transferable skills which they can utilise to improve the quality of life for themselves and their community.
Talent 2009 organisers, Aspire4u have several years experience working on large events and coordinating extensive youth projects. The Aspire4u team portfolio boasts collaborations with the MOBO awards, NESTA, Birmingham City University, The Drum, The Black History Foundation and more. Aspire4u have successfully executed the ‘Talent’ events for the past four years and have carved out a niche within the talent show market by offering a total entertainment experience combining music, dance, fashion and comedy.
