This myspace profile is for the sole purpose of promoting my work.
I have been singing, drawing and painting almost all my life. It was my favorite pass time as a child, and carried on into my high school days. I was almost always in either the choir room or art room whether it was class time or not. I couldn't help it. That was all I wanted to do.
I moved out of my parents house on my 18th birthday, which meant needing a job and getting it fast. After I got one, then a second, working left little time for artwork, bills left almost no money for art supplies, and roommates meant no more singing at the top of my voice. But shortly after I got myself settled, my boyfriend at the time got a digital camera for his birthday and that's when I got into photography. On the occasional day or afternoon off, if it was sunny, I'd take a leisurely walk with his camera and if I saw something pretty(usually the neighbors' flower gardens) I'd take a picture. It was my main creative outlet at the time.
That relationship did not last, however, and very shortly afterward I found myself renting a single small room out of a house from a lady I barely knew. But the rent was cheap, so I saved the little money I could. About 10 months later circumstances changed. The lady my new boyfriend(now my husband) and I had been renting from stopped suffering from cancer(R.I.P Linda), and we found out she had been renting the house(we thought she owned it). The landlord was sympathetic and let us take over the house for the same price we had been paying. Now my husband and I have an entire house to ourselves.
Because of this, I now have the ability to get back into everything I used to love. I have my own camera and the space and supplies to paint again. I've even gotten into beading and jewelry making. Now, I can start over. Now I can live.
