I'm originally a California girl born and raised but before my freshman year in high school, my family thought it best to take us out of the fast paced CA life and bring us to the slower paced life in small town Gresham, Oregon. That was then~ the once small, laid back, "hick town" (as those from the "bigger city" liked to call us) is growing all the time and has become more fast paced than I care for at times. I guess my "older age" makes me appreciate the slower things in life.. but I do have a young at heart attitude and have been blessed with a 'younger than I am' look to go with it. Thanks to the good genes I have, I've been told I look closer to 40 something than 50 something, and that I couldn't possibly have a 32 year old son~! Well guess what~I can and I do! I have a 30 year old one too and they are both the lights of my life and have been since the day they were born. I feel so fortunate to have them in my life and wonder, what did I do to deserve two such wonderful sons? I also have a wonderful mom who is one of my best friends. I appreciate her and believe I've learned much from the person she is. My dad passed away 6 years ago and I miss him every day~ he was my hero~ but I know he's in a better place and I will see him again some day. I have a brother who is a warm, loving person and a great friend too~ and he still likes to tease his 'big sister' which is something I hope never changes! I have also been blessed with a few very close friends who have helped me through the rough patches and shared with me the good times. I cherish my family and my friends and feel like I never get to spend enough time with them. Why is that? It seems like the best things in life are often the ones we feel we don't get enough time for.
I consider myself down to earth, easy to get along with, open and honest, easy going and love good conversation. I enjoy activities of all kinds from fun outdoors to quiet indoors. I love wine and candle light dinners as well as beer and pizza. I love to laugh and have fun. I guess some might consider me a girly girl but I think I'm both a little bit girly and a little bit NOT! Kinda like "a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll" :) I'm that too! I believe in a higher power, sincere smiles, kind hearts and Love. I have a kind heart which at times gets me into 'trouble', but I've come to realize that God made me the way I am for a very good reason and I'm grateful to be me. I am taking life one day at a time and trying to learn as I go along~ what more can any of us do than that?
