Hi, My name is Jimmy Carter and this is my biography. I play songs that tell stores and or jokes that have gone over just fantastic at all of my shows over the years. I was born in Chicago IL but I grew up in the suburbs on the south side. Growing up I always managed to be the class clown. But when I wasn’t making jokes about the kid who just pissed his pants during class (no joke he fucking wet himself right in the middle of math class, the worst part about it was I sat behind him) or even the teacher with the bird nose, I would sit in my room with my stereo blasting and just enjoy the tunes. Go figure that years later I would combine both my loves and passion to make some of (what I like to call) the best damn comedy music ever.
It wasn’t until late 2006 that I started playing shows. I would play at the local music venues and coffee houses in and around Tinley Park, IL. It was between early to mid 2007 when I started to make a name for myself. As the local (and only) singing comedian within 25miles of TP, I was starting get recognized by my classmates. With my first 3 shows in 07 resulting in a combined draw of over 250 people, I had quickly found my calling as what some have said to be a local Tenacious D. But others would just know me as the Donuts guy.
A couple years, 3 cars (1 of which was stolen. Aint that fucked up? My car was fucking stolen and it wasn’t even a good one, it was a shitty Kia Spectra 5) and 15 young and easy women later, not a whole lot has changed. The guitar strings and my underpants have changed but the jokes never will. I still sing about Donuts and the love between a man and a 6yr old girl, but Ive also added a couple more tunes to the list. New and always hilarious sexually stories are still popping in every time I pick up a guitar and pen. Life seems to keep throwing funny things my way, so as long as I’m breathing, this shit aint over…………
