It came about one fateful afternoon when Calvin Hobbes and Flip helped stage a take over of the KWCR studio with help from The Maestro. The two hours that followed will live forever in infamy as the first appearance of the ineffable trio known as The Shift Crashers.
It continued even on into the new era, an era that saw the entrance of Calvin Hobbes into the real world, and his departure from the Shift Crashers. Not to be befouled, however, the Shift Crashers found new strength in the Old Guy, who joined them in their neverending quest for genuinely ridiculous times.
Even as time passes, and the world continues to change, so too did the Old Guy take his leave from the Shift Crashers. Following his glorious ascension into Valhalla, Flip and the Maestro played hosts to a grand battle to determine who would join them in the Old Guy's place. After long weeks of desperate competition, Davey rose above all others to claim the coveted title of the next Shift Crasher, and the three continue the grand tradition, and the show lives on.
Now, each Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4PM Mountain Standard Time, The Shift Crashers can be heard, broadcasting from an undisclosed location on Ogden's own 88.1 FM.
