This page is about my Mother Barbara who was Raped and Murdered in 1974 by Leon Chatt. I never had the chance to know my mother because her life was cut to short, My mother Barbara was only 27 yrs old when she was Murdered. Growing up without a mother is the Hardest thing in the world and it makes it more difficult because I never knew her, i was only 14 months old when my mother's life was taken. If you still have your Mom make sure that you tell her how much you love her, and let her know everyday, Life is to short and i wish i had the chance to tell my Mom that i loved her but I will NEVER get that chance and I would give up everything in the world to have her back, But she is in Heaven and God has a bigger plan for her.
Cherrish every moment that you have with your loved one's, You never know what could happen and there are way to many things that we take for Granted. Even though i missed out on having a Mother it is important to me as a Mother myself to always be with my kids and show them and give them that love that only a mother could give, I know what it's like NOT to have a mother and i CANNOT imagine my kids growing up without me, that is a thought that i could never deal with.
My mother would have turned 61 in January and to only have pictures of her is heartbreaking, I have NO memories of my mother and still it is devistating to me and my family on WHY my mothers life was cut to short. I would give anything in the world to have her back with us or just to see her, but she will ALWAYS and FOREVER be in our hearts and she will ALWAYS be remembered, never forgotton ! MOM, YOU WILL ALWAYS AND FOREVER BE "OUR ANGEL AMOUNG US" ! We want to THANK Detc. Dennis Delano, Charles Aronica, Mary Gugliuzza, Brian Parker, Letizia Tagliafierro, Thomas Finnerty, and Judge Russell Bascaglia. These are all the people who worked on this case and without them my mother's killer would still be out there. We owe them everything, and we cannot express how much we appreciate what They did for us. Now after 34 years May Barbara Ann finally R.I.P !!! We as Barbara's family went through 2 trials, and it was the most difficult thing that we had to go through, but we held together as a family and in the end JUSTICE DID PREVAL.. My Mother was stabbed to death and Raped by LEON CHATT and he left her for dead, he is a COWARD and he deserves the 25 to Life sentence that he recieved, KARMA DID COME BACK AND BITE YOU IN THE ASS LEON CHATT !!!
