Nate McDermott is one-third of the ever-evolving rock band Paper Thin Stages. But as that group feverishly documents its restless sonic experiments, McDermott records his more personal compositions under the moniker of Meanings.
The songs are a concerned poetry, a cautious reverie, and a testing range for harmony. Economical fingerstyle guitar playing and McDermott's confident voice are the tools he employs to create his tracks, which are structurally and lyrically progressive while maintaining a focused simplicity... equal parts On The Road and On The Beach.
