About Me

Since the late 80's I have been dj-ing on the 60s and Mod scene, and collecting many great records. In 1991 I started out a Mod radio program called 'GROW YOUR OWN' named after the Small Faces song! You can hear it every tuesday between 19h00 and 20h00 on Antwerps' Radio Centraal 106.7 FM or by streaming on http://streaming.radiocentraal.be/ With the years I opened up my musical taste and Grow Your Own grew from classic Mod program into a 60s radio show with a wide range of 6Os styles : Mod sounds, Freakbeat, Jazz, Soul, Rhytm'n'Blues, Psychedelic, Latin and Boogaloo, Ska, Acid Rock, Jerk and YéYé, Early Funk Grooves, French and Belgian 60s, 60sMoog and Electronic sounds, Garage, Kitch, Lounge and Easy Listening . . . and this till the early 70s ! Assisted every first tuesday of the month by Anja who brings German 60s sounds !Recently I started a sister program going from Thursday night into Friday 24h00 till 01h00 named 'ALMOST GROWN' where I introduce many new bands with influences in the 60s and 70s, assisted by Dylan. As DJ I am mainly known for sixties Freakbeat, Garage , Psychedelic, French and Belgian 60s . But enjoy to bring a nice mix of all the styles I collectIt's great that this love for music brought me to many places like Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Ireland, UK, Japan and meet many soulfull coloured people on my way
