THE BANG YOUR HEAD!!! HISTORY:
What it's all about... The BANG YOUR HEAD!!!-festival exists since 1996 now. For the first three years the event took place at the Stefan-Hartmann-Halle in Tübingen, while in 1999 we decided to do an Open-Air-festival for the first time. In 1996 and 1997 it was only an one day event. However, due to the fact that the number of visitors grew from year to year, the festival also grew and was stretched to a two days' event in 1998. That year 1.800 fans - from all parts of Germany,some surrounding countries and even a few from the the land of the rising sun - visited the festival. For sure there would have been even more visitors if the hall hadn't been completely sold out... To offer all enthusiastic fans the possibility to take part in our event, we made the next logical step: the BANG YOUR HEAD!!!-festival took place as an Open-Air for the first time in Balingen. 18.000 people were showing up on two days and turned it to a fantastic happenig - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!! And to all of those who joined us the following years as well, as the crowd keeps growing and growing... Of course we're not willed to sack the original spirit and the roots of the BANG YOUR HEAD!!!: it has always been more than just a simple concert and it will always be. In the "new millennium" there will be many happenings all around the performances, too * interviews with bands, special guests and artists that don't play in the EMP-tent * meet & greet area * a Metalbörse (big tent full of records and other collectors items) * like the years before we will reform bands for you * special effects and many more. Another special thing is that there's just one stage and therefore no performances of different bands at the same time, so you must not be frightened to miss a band. Still there is something new: The promoters of the WITH FULL FORCE- and the BANG YOUR HEAD!!!-festivals and Germany's leading metal magazine ROCK HARD MAGAZINE join together in the HARD UNION - festivals from fans for fans - to stop the international policy of utopian prices for bands to make sure that that the ticketprices could be kept at an acceptable level, so finally for you! So: let's get in the ring for the next round! Just take a look at the bands we could get for this year's event and decide yourself if your metal heart can afford to miss it...
