We've been through a lot together and over the last year, I realize that I have married a man of character and integrity. He's demonstrated strength and honor during adversity and he's grown in maturity and wisdom. It is a privilege to be married to James and to see him be the man that his children need to see him be! James knows the value of learning early and I feel so fortunate to have married such a wonderful man.I have a drama queen daughter, Ekaterina. Ekaterina began first grade this year and she is smart and giggly. Her laugh is contagious and she is a fabulous artist. My blue eyed, mischievous son, Octavian just turned 4. Tavian is my buddy. He's sensitive and all boy at the same time. I love watching him talk and his reasoning and logic skills blow me away. I can't wait to see what he has in store for this world. And lastly,I have an amazingly laid back, sweet cuddlebug in my youngest, Zachariah. Zachariah lights up when he smiles and he gives the sweetest kisses. He's not a picky eater but he loves ice cream. Zachariah came at a time in our lives where peace seemed furthest from us, his name Zachariah Thomas Solomon means "God answers" "peace". He's our little reminder that God does have a plan and it's for hope and peace.
I tend to be an introvert even though James has helped bring me out of my shell. I am not, however, afraid of speaking my mind, especially when defending justice. I'll admit, my mercy skills can be a bit weak. I enjoy seeing life through the lens of a camera. I get the best kind of thrill from capturing a moment on film. I'm the girl that prefers watching football with the guys instead of talking in the kitchen with the girls. Please leave me out of girl drama. I don't fight for attention and I certainly don't have time to relive junior high. I don't need it. I've got the love and adoration from the people that mean most to me.♥ My heart is content. I have a degree in Elementary Education and one day, hope to go back to using it. Whether that means teaching or finding a job that requires me to have a Bachelor's degree. I dream of paying off college loans and taking a trip to Italy with James.
I am a follower of Christ. He's my everything. In Him, I find my peace and joy. I don't pretend to have a monopoly on God. I know He hears the voice of EVERY single child of His. Even in hard times, I have to trust that He has a plan, even when I don't understand it or see it. He works ALL things together for good. He has a plan to give me and my family a future and hope and that is just one of His promises that I can cling to.
God blessed me with parents who are wonderful examples of compassion and love. They have loved me, listened to me, cried with me, celebrated with me, and have never abandoned me during the rough times. They've sacrificed so much so that me and Jessica could have stable,godly homes and for that I cannot express enough gratitude. Dad is an affectionate communicator and is always affirming me and my family. Not a time goes by where he isn't telling us how much he loves us, how beautiful we are, and how proud he is of what we do. He's a hands-on kind of helping guy and he accepted James as one of his own. He knows just about everyone in town and it's evident that his authenticity draws people in. I hope I can learn those qualities from him. Mom is the one who will listen to your struggles and offer sound advice. She's very much a giver and there's not a week goes by that she's not giving of her time or her emotions. She is always looking for little gifts that remind her of others and wants to do whatever she can to make the life of others easier. She adores her grandkids and is always protective of them and wanting them to flourish. Together, my mom and dad have shown me that marriages go through storms, life throws you trials and troubles but that if you CHOOSE to love and CHOOSE to trust God, He will provide and care for you. I am so grateful to them!
