The Stiggz

About Me

Win a pair of weekend festival tickets!

The Stiggz formed in February 2008, and are already making big noises on the Midlands music scene.

Since making their live debut in June 2008, when they won the Coalville youth battle of the bands, they went on to play over 35 dates by the end of their first year. Building up a reputation for infectious tunes that stay in the audiences mind long after the gig, and a fantastic stage presence.

In the first six months since their live debut, the site www.myspace.com/thestiggz had over 20,000 hits. With the band currently having over 4,000 friends on their MySpace and Facebook sites.

At the end of 2008 the band recorded their debut single called Not Joking. Professional recordings have led to The Stiggz receiving attention from regional and national radio stations. With Janice Long regularly featuring the track Lot to Learn on her Radio 2 show.

    What people are saying

They have such an immediate sound, I love The Stiggz – Janice Long - BBC Radio 2 and WM

When there are so many young bands around, it's good to find one that not only stands out but plays with a maturity beyond their tender years. The Stiggz are a band that never fails to please and they have put the rock back into indie rock. This busy band has clocked up a number of success stories since they started to play back in February 2008. Good, strong vocals from Richard, and a tight ensemble of musicians, they have an ear-grabbing set list. Vibrant backings and well articulated songs, their performances are alike and kicking - Arts in Leicestershire

Saw you guys at Glastonbudget THE best orginal band of the weekend, the only orginal band i would pay to see - Youtube fan

Brilliant !! deserved a much bigger crowd & to be on much earlier !!!!! - Youtube fan

A strong lineup of indie songs and a natural born rock singer in the lead, this is a band worth making tracks to go and see - Trevor Locke (Arts in Leicestershire)
