About Me

The image you see at the very top is a carved Maori decoration. This very colorful genre of people come from the verdant land of New Zealand and although this handsome piece of woodwork proclaims intricacy and imagination, it is the Maori that I've chosen to support my background, for they have a cannibalist past. Yes, a beautiful and brutal people, the Maori not only openly speak of their aggresive past, but seem to display a sense of pride. I've currently completed reading a fascinting book titled "Dinner with a Cannibal" by Carole Travis-Henikoff and must say that it was an intriguing and fact-filled read. The title itself is fraught with a very eerie mood that may raise an eyebrow or birth a chill. But looks can be deceiving and morals are sometimes wrong. The book explains this taboo's history as well as its reasons and coexistence with who we truly are. I'm quite pressed for time, but I will have more information on the book in a while. :D
