BCBUGG is the collective force of Jason "BC" McQuirns and Justin "BUGGMAN" Sweeney. The "project" started when they recorded the track "Monster's Cave", using nothing but an acoustic guitar played by JBUGG, some vocals and random samples layed down by BC, and at that point they realized they created a sound they have never heard before. And decided....."why stop there"? Almost four years and fourteen tracks later, their album is finished. Inspired by the DIY spirit of Fugazi and the self-indulgent sounds of Mike Patton, Raymond Scott, Madlib and so many others, they've crafted fifteen tracks of deranged pop madness. Written, produced, recorded, and mixed at BUGG's own "LarvaL Studios" and BCs "Palace of Chin" with no help from anyone who might know what they're doing, and no money (due to the fact that BUGG has a girlfriend and BC smokes an astronomic amount of weed) to afford the pristine comfort and sound of a "real" studio. Which has added a beautiful basement feel to the overall album. So come, join them on their quest, for they promise it will be an interesting one.
