We can learn to love the misery

About Me

Lover of the seven deadly sins, but rarely partakes in them. Firm advocate of offensive jokes as long as they are not meant offensively. Fights for the same things the magical sitar did in Moulin Rouge and I also "only speak the truth." ..This profile was edited with MySpace Help - Profile Creator and Editor MySpace Profile Help!

My Interests

You and you and you...and that person right there next to you, yeah, that's the one.

I'd like to meet:

So back when I lived in MN there was this girl working at a kiosk in the Northtown Mall who looked like the blonde Gelfling in the movie "Dark Crystal". I saw her one weekend and then when I went back the next weekend to introduce myself, alas, she was no longer employed there. It was her last weekend and I missed my opportunity...so basically if you are that cute, Gelfling girl from MN, contact me...or else if you're Lindsay who use to work with me at Gadzooks when Gadzooks sold men's clothing...or if you know either of these two then hook me up.

Music:

Any genre as long as it's good...which puts country and rap at a disadvantage, but there's still some good stuff out there. I listen to Carissa's Wierd, Tricky, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Aimee Mann, the Decemberists, Prayer and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers, Frau Frau, PJ Harvey, the list goes on and on...basically anyone w/ good lyrics and music to match.

Movies:

Last Night, Reqiuem for a Dream (good book as well), the Saddest Music in the World, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Igby Goes Down, Dark City, Gattica, the Piano, Ran, Akira, American Beauty, the Return, Oldboy, Closer, Garden State, Ichi the Killer, Audition, Moulin Rouge, those are a few that come to mind right now...I could do this forever, but I'd bore myself. Think indie/foreign flicks and you get the picture...or anything that accomplishes what it sets out to do w/out simply manipulating the audience.

Television:

No thanks, I'd rather kill my brain cells with booze than TV.

Books:

The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald, The World According to Garp/A Prayer for Owen Meaney/A Widow for One Year all by John Irving...the man is genius, The Story of a Million Years by David Huddle, Saving Lives by Albert Goldbarth (poetry), The Wild Iris by Louise Gluck (poetry), The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst (amazing read), Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut...that's about good for now.

Heroes:

Terry, the homeless guy who handwashes my car in Pioneer Square.
