Nina Creese is a diamond in the rough. She
grew up in an urban area of New York City, living
with her aunt and 8 other members of her
family. She began writing songs and poetry at
the early age of 10, recording at home on
cassettes and making music until her high
school years.
At the age of seventeen, Nina started
interning at Explode Studio , located in
Brooklyn, where she learned how to engineer.
Right after becoming the studio resident
engineer, she occasionally recorded her own
songs, and produced beats for other artists of
the record label affiliated, Explode Records .
In 2007, she featured on Ain’t Nothing Greater ’s
debut album “Lighter Fluidâ€, on the track
titled “My Life†and worked on many
collaborations with the company’s other main
artist Loose, and eventually became a lead
artist herself.
Now, at 19 years old, Nina has her first full length release "Angelface" in stores. With this album she intends to set herself as an R&B/Soul singer with flavors of Hip Hop and other influences.
She is also frequent on the mixtape circuit,
featuring reggae artists Loose and Prestige Ali.
In addition to music & poetry, Nina's other passion is basketball. She was awarded a plaque for being the top leading female scorer in the city of New York in 2007.
