Axiom Recordings is a vehicle for producer/DJ Junior O. In the 90's, Alex Otero was part of a minority of NYC producers ushering a new sound in the world of dance music. This sound was equal parts Techno and House, but above all things it was simply different. His output during that time was as varied as the labels he released and licensed his music to: AV8/BMG, Narcotic, Strictly Rhythm, Yoshitoshi, Renaissance, React, NRK, and Defected UK all wanted their part of the Junior O sound. He simultaneously toured the world and held residencies at various clubs as a DJ.

Residing in Miami since the new millennium, Junior O is not trying to capitalize on a single sound. Instead, he has been steadily developing a catalogue of quality music. Axiom Recordings was born out of a love for the music. Axiom is a labor of love between he and his business partner who lives in Ann Arbor, MI. Detroit is as different from Miami as polar opposites can be. This is why Axiom Recordings is nothing but a creative outlet for passionate artists that want to push DJ culture forward and electronic music to new heights. Axiom Recordings' desire is to inspire and be inspired.

MARC COTTERELL Presents Twisted Rhythm EP "Music ReTake" "Movim" "Twisted" AX14

On our 14th release, Axiom Recordings welcomes Marc Cotterell to the stable. Born in Cornwall, UK and now residing in America this transplant is an addict when it comes to electronic music. Influenced by artists such as Matthias Tanzmann and Daniel Stefanik he has been producing since 2008 and we are proud to have the opportunity to mold and shape this artist’s sound further.

“Music Retake” is a Marc Cotterell creation which sees him going the tech house route. With seemingly familiar keys and bassline in the beginning the single explodes into a hands in the air assault midway through and never gives up. This record, as well as the EP, is very craftily layered with top notch production throughout.

For the individual that likes their beats tough and very deep, “Movim” will be the single to beat on this EP. High hats keep this track building while the moody chords allow it to stay centered in deep territory. This one will certainly help to build any set.

“Twisted” is a perfect mixture of tech and deep house. Marc deftly molds these two subgenres by filtering keys, creating memorable quirky sounds and strategically placing them throughout, and programming a very smooth rhythm.

STEVEN ENGELMANN "Arakido" (Remixes by Junior O & Marc Cotterell) AX13

The mind of Steven Engelmann is responsible for this quality release. Steven has been a respected DJ in the Berlin underground for some time now, and on AX13 he delivers a mesmerizing track aptly titled Arakido. Utilizing haunting sounds he creates lush and dreamy soundscapes that we have no doubt will cross boundaries among the DJ lot.

Junior O deftly pulls off a mix utilizing old school hand claps, a low frequency bassline hook accompanied by a lush chord that collectively will make many a hedonist want to lose it.

Marc Cotterell's builds and builds utilizing a slick bassline for those that prefer their music DEEP. On his Jus’ Beats mix he devastates it!

JUNIOR O FEATURING LaTOYA "Into The Night" "Conflict" AX12

“Into the Night” introduces LaToya, Axiom’s latest signing, and future starlet. She is a vocalist, writer and producer. Hailing from Detroit via Florida via Chicago and now living…....well we don’t really know where! A breathy, sensual vocal technique sets this track ablaze. Sexy syncopation, great use of string synths, and THAT vocal make this track a real tech vocal assault.

On "Conflict", both Junior O and Latoya decide to go one part ambient and two parts deep.

CUE "Candor" (Remixes by Junior O) AX11

This progressive release with elements of electro finds Chilean Cue (aka Fernando Fuentes) dipping into his pockets to deliver an energetic , pumping, peak hour, emotionally charged track with deep bass lines, pizzicato synth riffs and live percussion to get hard bodies moving and minds expanding.

On the remix front, Junior O techs it out and moves this track all the way to left field to bring us a version that would find a dear sweet home in a dark, dark club preferably with an after-hours vibe. Moody breakdowns and a riding riff that will assault and deliver.

JUNIOR O & JUAN MUNERA "Red Dwarf" AX10

Axiom Recordings unleashes a minimal monster. Junior O teams up with fellow Colombian and upcoming Techno producer Juan Munera which we welcome to the Axiom stable to release Red Dwarf. This release further helps to establish Axiom Recordings as a label with a wide palette of sounds and a steadily growing catalogue of reliable club offerings.

This Kubrickesque Futurist soundtrack has major balls. Though it starts smooth and somber, as it begins to tell its story we soon realize this track is going to do some damage. Long live the Futurists!

JUNIOR O "I Am the Vibe" (Remixes by Maurizio & Danyelino) AX09

Returning with a sexier, filthier feel, Junior O now reedits and delivers a new 2008 version, of his signature track “I Am The Vibe”. Originally released in 1999 on Glow Records UK, it received support from renowned DJs including Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez, Fat Boy Slim and Darren Emerson. Almost 10 years later, now an older and wiser dj /producer, and label honcho of Axiom Recordings, Junior O has reworked this hit, creating a tech house masterpiece, laced with tribal elements whilst maintaining the true roots of the original.

Maurizio and Danyelino produced their version of “I Am the Vibe” churning out a driving minimal sound, cleverly including a potent bassline.
