About Me

John is amazed over the talent that's just around us, and admires those with focus and determination.

Wow, it's just been over a year that I've been on MySpace.  And just over 2 ½ that I've been in the public music scene.  Time flies!  What a journey it has been from the first day I established a profile.  Each time I log on I look forward to the growing list of friends.  I'm still trying to compile an "About Me" section.  Maybe you can help me write it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Probably "You".  If you share similar interests (the more, the better), drop a line and say "Hello!" Don't be shy. (I guess that's easy to say, huh?) Take a chance ... ask away.

Please Remember: If don't reply to a message, it may because you have some privacy setting that's not allowing me to reply.

Notes for the start of the Summer 2009:
Much thanks goes out to the many friends I've met through the circle of music in 2007, 2008, and now 2009. To Seth for allowing me to share the spotlight on dozens of acoustic solos & duets, and my first official booking ... and to stand in center stage with Third Sun on a few songs with harp. To the monthly harmonica workshop coaching of Sandy Mack , who adds growth, refinement, technique, elegance, and depth to this thing nicknamed the "Harp" and its role in the blues. To Randy and Turnpike Mike for the opportunity to slide a little harp into their excellent performances. To Joe & Elena for their encouragement, understanding. and friendship ... my first steps up to the mic ... and continual overwhelming support at each turn in the road. To Sheli Aarden , Peter Prasa , Michael Brett , and George Wirth for rekindling the spark for song writing, confidence to branch out into some solo performances (Yiiiipes!), and the chance to lay down some harp with them from time to time. To Jim Long and Frank Lombardi for the freedom to play along in their great gigs. Finally, to Danny Walsh who's just been all-around awesome with guidance, insights, and sustenance.
And special thanks to the many musicians, new friends, and acquaintances I meet along the journey: To the talented people I've met through Brewster's , La Riviera , Green Planet , Fins in Brick , Twisted Tree , McCarthy's , Expresso Joe's , and the other local open mic locations. To the hosts - Gary for the "Open Blues Jam" on Tuesday nights at Brewster's in Bradley Beach , Pat for his Monday night Green Planet open mic in Point Pleasant, Hughie for his cool open mic at Fins in Brick on Wednesdays, and Dave's Wednesday night "Blues Jam" at La Riviera in Matawan. "Hello's" to Ernie Fowler and the open mic friends at Michos in Reisterstown, Maryland.
