Ashley Rena Haynes Born: January 19, 1987Born into a musical family, Ashley started singing at the early age of three; She was the Mascot for her family group “Anointed Plus.” Ashley joined the “Children’s Gospel Choir of America” - singing at many venues within the Washington Metropolitan area which included the White House and the Kennedy Center. At the age of eight, she began touring with the group, as one of the lead vocalist, to various European Countries such as Germany, France, Poland, Switzerland, and Denmark. The group is currently known as “Gerald T. Smith and Youth-N-Praise; the choir is still singing within the Washington Metropolitan area and recently traveled to Germany May of 2007. Ashley is now twenty one years of age, and is a participant is the Group “Pyur,” where their way of ministry is Giving Pure, Sincere Praise to God. She is now working with producer Adrian Epps on her solo career and plans to work hard on an album. Ashley also has a Love for Jazz. Her favorite artist is Sarah Vaughn whom she respects and adores for her contribution and/or Gifts to the industry. Ashley’s Sound depicts the feelings inside her heart and she prays that God is pleased with the way she uses her gift.She completed two years of professional training at Duke Ellington School of the Arts and graduated from Friendship Collegiate Academy on June 1, 2006.She has many interest and all of them are focused on the word of God; She is a Lyricist/Singer/Actress and are currently working on her musical career; Ashley is still singing with Youth-N-Praise and Pyur. She ministers with the Youth and young adult choir at her church, First Baptist Church of Glenarden Pastor John K. JenkinsMy Mission – “To Serve the Lord”“If I can give Praise to God with the gift that he’s given me, maybe I could reach one persons heart so that they can experience the goodness of the Lord through the efforts of my works, then I have served my calling as “He” has planned.”
