ONE'S OWN BLOOD are a five-piece alternative/hardcore arrangement hailing from Buffalo, NY. Since their inception in final weeks of 2007, ONE'S OWN BLOOD has pushed the limits of the Buffalo hardcore/metal community by not only playing and gaining support from the biggest local acts (such as STEMM) but also national acts by supporting various tours on their Western New York dates. ONE'S OWN BLOOD has played all of the Western New York and Greater Buffalo area, quickly gaining an impressive fan base and a diverse supporting team of the area's best production and sound crews. Since their very first performance, early 2008, the area has been begging for more and 6 months after their first demo, ONE'S OWN BLOOD set out to create their debut EP.
'Catalyst' is name of ONE'S OWN BLOOD's debut EP. The name and material of which each represent the hard work and perseverance that serves as the Catalyst to accomplish any goal the group sets. The members of ONE'S OWN BLOOD are of the hardest working variety and anyone would be hard pressed to find musicians who more often help and support their followers. Such loyalty has earned the group an unparalleled following and unquestionable dedication amongst their fans. They treat every supporter like 'our own blood' because the music makes everyone who listens one family. To show their appreciation, the group made the best EP possible to show the supporters everything they have to look forward to. 'Catalyst' was recorded, mixed, and mastered at DWS studios in Niagara Falls, NY under the guidance and expertise of engineer/producer Mike Hatalak (It Dies Today) and asst. producer Judah Nero. The disc showcases all of the group's hard work as well as their meticulous attention to detail and devotion to a complete sound and complete product. Also featured on the Disc are It Dies Today's own Jason Wood and Forever In Terror's Chris Bianchi and Glenn Moore. Jason and Chris bring different vocal dimensions to offer a startling new tone and pitch combinations while Glenn performs in a guitar solo duel with ONE'S OWN BLOOD's Greg Spunt. The 'Catalyst' EP was distributed locally and released on January 10th, 2009.

All of the concept art for all swag and merch is provided by Connor 'Ash' Ketchum, while the graphic design is provided by Nicholas 'Lucky' Horn at Lucky Graphics and Design.
