LOBSTER MAN FROM MARS is the first theatrical feature directed by Stanley Sheff. After working for many years in television and motion pictures, Mr. Sheff had the good fortune to collaborate with Orson Welles on "The Orson Welles Show" (a rare unseen work by Welles). One evening while Welles and Sheff were enjoying a few margueritas at a local Mexican eatery on Melrose Ave., the topic of Welles' WAR OF THE WORLDS radio hoax came up in conversation. Orson Welles referred to the broadcast as "that lobster man from Mars show...", and Stanley Sheff thought it would make a great title for a movie. Mr. Welles agreed and the rest is history...
