About Me

What You Do (Music) Music Video
Re-Birth Of Hip Hop
The eighties gave birth to a lot of great momumental events and memorable things like two of Berry Gordy's classic movies (Krush Groove and The Last Dragon), some of Magic's greatest showtime moments on the hardwood with championships along with them, Michael Jordan's rise to stardom and the New Jack Swing movement in effect. What is also gave birth to is an MC who would take the music he loved and created to another level for people to enjoy and remember for decades to come. Jason Keith Taylor a.k.a. Jay-Diff was born on November 12th, 1985 and grew up listening to all types of genres of music. His influences range from Run DMC and Jam Master Jay (R.I.P.), LL Cool J, Jay-Z, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G. (R.I.P.), Tupac Shakur (R.I.P.), Public Enemy, Sugarhill Gang, Dr.Dre, T.I., Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common, The Roots, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, UGK (R.I.P. Pimp C) to The Isley Brothers, The Commodores, Al Green, Marvin Gaye (R.I.P.), Luther Vandross (R.I.P.), Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Parliment, Jodeci, Lennie Williams and so many others as well. There wasn't a street corner, friend's house, bus stop, park, school or rooftop he would go to without some music playing. In his sophmore year of high school, he began writing poetry and whoever he read his poems to said "You have potential and you are going to go far". Then one day a friend told him he should start writing rhymes and it inspired him to begin writing rhymes on every page he could get his creative and talented hands on.In 2005, he began recording a couple of tracks witha fellow west coast MC, Joe Styles. It started out to be two or three tracks then it turned into an underground Ep album entitled "Different Styles".They performed at one venue in hopes of performing at more venues but ended up going there separate ways.Determined on making an impact, Diff began working with some of the most talented producers in Los Angeles including, his own brother, St.Louis of the Drug Lab. Following in his brother's footsteps along with some lessons, he began producing his own hits which opened up the door to networking with other artists.2007 Diff brought his own independent record label to life, E.m.m.e. Records. E.m.m.e. Records is an independent label that is helping to encourage creativity and motivation in it's artists to bring forth that good music.Having the support of emerging Hip Hop and R&B artists, captivating presence and devastating flows, Jay-Diff is making that impact in the music industry with his own story telling raps. Making that feel good music with a twist of his own unique original flavor, look out for Jay-Diff and E.m.m.e. Records in 2008/2009. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ________**Message from Jay-Diff** I have performed in Vegas and all over Los Angeles from Hollywood to El Segundo. I am doing things on my own and I have made a name for myself. My hit songs on Myspace.com/jaydiff is getting tons of plays. I just added a new track "What You Do (Music)" and already it's already 100+ hits strong. I am a huge 180 from what you hear on the radio, see on t.v. and meet out on the streets. I got one of the hottest producers, St.Louis, working with me on my album. Everything is going according to plan at this point but the only thing I need now is that official deal so I can bring my hits to the entire universe. I feel a new wave of talented artists is needed in the game and along with tons of other artists in Los Angeles alone, i'm making that happen. We all have something the universe needs to hear. I need to get on so things can change. I understand there's overwhelming promotions from other artists in the same boat and there's a process to discovering which new artist you like and wanna be a fan of but there is something different about me, literally. If I get that chance to show you what I have, I promise you will not be disappointed. I'm compared to some of the music industry's top veteran rappers and I take that as a compliment but I need to go down my own path and create a name for myself that you'll hear for decades to come.Thank you for your time and I pray that you pay attention to historybecause this literally can change our lives forever.God Bless_______________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ _____________FREE JOE STYLES!!You know people say the WEST COAST fell off but how can that be when you got so many talented artists coming out of the WEST COAST!!
