Andi Weekes Drummer, Songwriter,Keyboards,Singer and Percussion was born in England and grew up in Barbados. For many years he left Barbados and came to Germany,where he hitched up with the band Raven as drummer who were playing the American Bases, He soon made a name for himself and was called in to be drummer with Eruption,after playing with them he had s stint with Bill Summers who was at that time on tour in Germany he then left and went to Switzerland where he met Jon Otis and joined his band,the love for reggae music was now the direction he wanted to go,he met Izrah and they started the band Ujima,the band played all over,clubs,festivals.Ujima was the opening act for Burning Spear and for Dave Grusin, he did some gigs and recorded with the Jamaician singer Billy Hutch,Ralph Richardson a steelpan player from Trinidad.He returned to Germany and was called up to do some gigs with Pablo Moses big up! African music was another love for him and teamed up with Patrice Oluma and Matata,Alafia,Osumare,Mfanseni Thusi,Ifeanyi C Okolo,Laye Mansah, Kim Azas, Mingos Zita Was for many years with Wally Warning on tour,and Hans Söllner Bayerman Vibration, Ras Paulo,currently with Black Moses and The Spirit. He has a project called Afri.ca with musicians from Africa and the Caribbean,come together is the motto,we want the people to unite,and spread more love! Andi is now working with Mike Klement from Rhymes and Poetries,new songs will be coming out soon,you can hear A Journey with Riddim Maan, Andi and a very good female singer Tinga, and One Love with Riddim Maan n Andi some ruff jungle, check out myspace.com/riddimmaan.span
