"Kenya Rap's for Peace": The Forming of the Kenyan Hip Hop Parliament
Join us for a video conference call with members of the Kenyan Hip Hop Parliament. We will be linking with Ghetto Radio in Narobi, speaking with artists first hand about the current conditions in Kenya and the Emanuele Laikipia Peace Declaration. Come learn about Kenya's current state of angst and insecurity and the artists' quest to stop the violence and rebuild communities.

Film Screening: Democracy in Dakar followed by a panel with the filmmakers and Senegalese Artists
Performance: African Underground All-Stars
The brand new documentary film "Diamonds in the Rough" will make its DC premiere on April 16th come meet the featured artists and filmmakers.
Africa Underground Democracy in Dakar will be hosted by Project Nur at George Mason University on Monday April 21st. The event will be held on the Fairfax campus in the Johnson Center Cinema.
