After seven years Brian David Farr is back in the scene with his first solo album.
Almost a decade ago, a great original rock band played in the local Orange/Los Angeles County scene known as Epic Detour released their debut album Mystic Waters. Although the album only sold a limited amount of copies, “it was one hell of a great ride" says Brian.
At the height of Epic Detour’s two and half year run Brian became frustrated from the constant battle of trying to get a record deal and to make ends meet, burnt out he finally called a quits. Ending the band was one hardest decision he had to make at that point is his life.
Being 26 at the time, Brian landed a job as a sound designer in the video game industry. Shortly thereafter, doors continued to open and he was promoted to lead sound designer. Brian says, “One of the greatest things about creating sound effects is the fact that you can gain knowledge in recording that takes you out of the box. I noticed my ear improved tremendously over the past seven years allowing my music production skills to not have any limits.â€
Pass the Time, Brian’s first solo album, is a culmination of songs that focuses on the ups and downs of life.
The album was also written/produced/recorded and performed by Brian David Farr. He also played every instrument that is featured on the album.
It is a musical journey ranging from solid rock to magical acoustic ballads.
